At the 2018 annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology, CreakyJoints had the opportunity to speak with Santa Fe rheumatologist Hillary Norton, MD, who is not only a doctor, but also a patient living with ankylosing spondylitis. Dr. Norton ignored her own AS symptoms for years and knows better than anyone how challenging it can be to get the right diagnosis when you have vague symptoms like chronic back pain.
