Taylor Hops On the Twitter Bandwagon
Written by taylor on July 14, 2009
Typing on these new, high tech, hand-held devices is not only making my thumb joints swell, but also causing a little discomfort.
I’ve finally given into the craze of becoming a member of Twitter. Initially, I was completely against the idea of making one of the “status update” accounts, but curiosity got the best of me. I can’t say that I have become a loyal member, but I do occasionally find myself entertained with what celebrities are doing in their daily lives. (Who isn’t?)
For graduation, I received an iPod touch from my cousins, which now allows me to access the internet from any Wi-Fi hot spot. Now that the internet is constantly at my fingertips, I feel as if I’m almost cheating the concept of Twitter if I’m not updating my status every 30 minutes.
Maybe it will take me a little longer to get the hang of the Web site, and eventually become an avid “Tweeter.” If anyone has any advice or would like to explain what makes it so great, please let me know — I’m still a little skeptical.
I’ve also recently learned that having the internet and my constant text-message-receiving cell phone at my fingertips … causes my thumbs to revolt. Typing on these new, high tech, hand-held devices is not only making my thumb joints swell, but also causing a little discomfort.
Maybe I will need to tone it down a bit. Though that won’t stop me from checking in on my favorite celebrity whereabouts.
