Seth Ginsberg, diagnosed with arthritis at 13, and co-founder of
CreakyJoints at 18, relies on a combination of prescription drugs,
supplements and a consistent exercise program to keep feeling good.
"I
want to make sure my quality of life is as good as it can be, and one
of the components in my feeling good regimen is Dona glucosamine.
Here's why I use Dona glucosamine and why I think you should use it,
too:
"First, no governmental or private
organization in the United States regulates supplements. Not the FDA.
Nobody. This means the strength of your expensive supplements can vary
widely by brand, and even within the same brand. Think about this next
time you're spending a few hundred dollars on supplements.
"Dona
glucosamine is a prescription drug in Europe where it is made. It is
regulated by European governments and must meet exacting standards. So
Dona glucosamine strength is consistent. You know what you are buying."
At
CreakyJoints we know supplements are expensive and so besides giving
you the best glucosamine, we have negotiated a discount with Dona which
we are passing on to CreakyJoints members.

We know, to many of you, this is a lot of money to spend month
after month, but we also know that glucosamine has been proven in
clinical trials to relieve arthritis pain and that Dona glucosamine is
guaranteed for strength and purity.
DONA. THE GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE WITH THE MOST CLINICAL PROOF.
While all glucosamine sulfate supplements claim to improve joint
health, doesn't it make sense to depend on the one used in 90 percent
of all studies? The one that's shown to be effective and safe? Well,
now you can--with Dona.
Dona has the proven science leading to better joint motion.
Two recent landmark 3-year studies show that Dona can improve joint
flexibility and, more importantly, rebuild and maintain joint health.*
Leading medical journals like The Lancet warn that without head-to-head
trials, other glucosamine products may not have the same benefits as
Dona.
Prescription strength, prescription quality
Dona was developed by a pharmaceutical company in Europe, where it's
actually a prescription medicine. In fact, Dona is the number one
prescribed glucosamine sulfate in over 60 countries. That means Dona is
made under those strict pharmaceutical standards, even though here you
can get Dona off the shelf.
Science in motion, you in motion
While Dona is proud to be the leader in glucosamine sulfate research,
even more important is what Dona can mean to you. Like more laps. Or
running on the beach with your four-footed pal. Or reaching down to
braid your niece's hair. That's really what science in motion is all
about.
What is Dona?
Dona is glucosamine sulfate, a key building block for your body to make
cartilage. Healthy cartilage keeps your joints flexible and free of
pain--and that makes just about everything you do feel easier.
Why haven't I heard of Dona if it's been researched for years?
Dona is new only to the U.S. and Canada, where it was introduced in
2001. But it's been a prescription medicine around the world for over
10 years. In fact, it's the number one prescribed glucosamine sulfate
in 60 countries. However, Dona is available here without a prescription.
Is Dona the same as other joint supplements?
No. In fact, Dona is the glucosamine sulfate used in over 90 percent of
the studies showing the effectiveness and safety of this supplement.
Without head-to-head clinical studies comparing Dona with other
glucosamine products, it's impossible to attribute Dona's benefits to
these other compounds.
Does Dona work right away?
Although you may feel some relief from joint stiffness in as little as
two weeks, you won't actually be getting the full benefit of Dona
before 3 months. Because Dona helps you rebuild cartilage, it can
continue working for you as long as you take it.
Who should take Dona?
Anyone who would like to keep their joints healthy and flexible. Almost
all of the studies with Dona were done on people suffering from
osteoarthritis, so the beneficial results were shown with these
sufferers in particular. Remember, too, that while most medicines
recommended for osteoarthritis may reduce joint inflammation, Dona also
helps rebuild and maintain the actual joint tissue.
Since glucosamine sulfate is an amino sugar, will it affect people with diabetes?
In both short-term and long-term studies (3 years), glucosamine sulfate did not raise glucose levels, even in diabetics.
I've heard glucosamine sulfate is made from shellfish. Will Dona affect people with this allergy?
No. Dona is highly purified and doesn't contain the elements that might
cause allergic reactions. However, as with any medicine or supplement,
if you experience side effects, you should speak with your doctor.
How is Dona sold?
Dona is available in a 30-day supply of measured powder packets or caplets.
What is the difference between Dona powder and Dona caplets?
Some people have trouble swallowing (a pair of) 750 mg pills and so
choose Dona powder; they stir it into water, juice, or their favorite
beverage before drinking it.
Others
are phenylketonurics, and so choose Dona caplets. Both Dona Powder and
Dona Capsules provide the same amount of glucosamine sulfate (1500 mg
per packet or pair of caplets) and are equally potent. We here don't
really have a favorite. Sometimes, we'll go back and forth from
day-to-day, depending on our mood. Choose whichever you're most
comfortable with.
Is your product fresh?
Yes! Our Dona is shipped directly to you from the manufacturer, Rotta
Pharmaceuticals, with typical product expiration dates on the order of 18 months from purchase. (Makes you wonder just how old other supplements are, and if they've been stored properly, eh?)
How long will it take to ship my order?
Orders are usually shipped by the next business day via USPS. You should receive your order within 4-7 business days.
My question isn't listed here! What should I do?
- Send us an e-mail
- Or call us at 1 (800) 701-8275, Mon. - Fri., between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
Could you tell me what Dona's Supplement Facts are?
Sure! See below for the powder and caplets, respectively:
Phenylketonurics: Dona powder contains phenylalanine; Dona capsules do not. (Phenylalanine is a component of aspartame.)
