How to edit an existing page or item

This How-to is intended for: Site admins, Key users, Staff

Even after an item has been published, you can still make changes to it, without interrupting the website's ability to serve pages to visitors. Here's how.

Step by step

1. Log in

2. Find the item you want to edit. It's probably easiest to use the 'Contents' view of the folder that holds the object. To do that, click the 'Contents' tab of the green editing bar.

3. Click the item you want to edit. Note:

Link items are a little tricky, since the title of the item is actually a link to an offsite location.  Remember to click on the item from the 'Contents' view to edit the item.

4. Select the 'Edit' tab and make your changes. If you're swapping out an image, just scroll down and select 'Replace image,' choose the new one, and anywhere that image is used the new one will replace the old one (sometimes because of browser caches, the changes won't be seen right away across the site).

5. Remember to click 'Save' and your changes will become visible immediately. There's no need to change the publishing state.
