2008 CJ Awards at the Friar's Club

2008 CJ Special Recognition:  Linda Leff, R.N., B.C.

On March 31, CreakyJoints held an event at the Friar's Club in Manhattan to celebrate our 2008 Special Honorees.  This included Special Recognition for Linda Leff, Nurse Manager of the Infusion Therapy Unit at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York.

Linda appeared in our CreakyJoints video, Another Hope:  RA Infusion Therapy, to help explain what happens in an infusion therapy treatment center.  She kindly gave up many hours of her time to not only show our CJ staff the ins and outs of the center, but to share her own experiences as well.

2008 CJ Special Recognition:  Elizabeth

On March 31, CreakyJoints held an event at the Friar's Club in Manhattan to celebrate our 2008 Special Honorees, including Special Recognition for Elizabeth, the featured patient in our CreakyJoints video, Another Hope:  RA Infusion Therapy.

Diagnosed with arthritis at age 12, Elizabeth has refused to let her disease dictate her life. A professional writer -- and a triathlete -- she undergoes infusion therapy treatments to combat the effects of arthritis and shares her story to help demystify this new treatment option.

2008 CJ Courage Award:  Allyson Shapiro

On March 31, CreakyJoints held an event at the Friar's Club in Manhattan to celebrate our 2008 Special Honorees, including Courage Award Winner Allyson Shapiro.

Suffering from spondyloarthropathy, young Ally bravely shares her arthritis battle with television viewers every week on Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City -- spreading awareness of the disease and offering hope to millions. (Ally is the daughter of "housewife" Jill Zarin.)

2008 CJ Physician of the Year:  Dr. Stephen Paget

On March 31, CreakyJoints held a celebration at the Friar's Club in Manhattan to honor our 2008 Physician of the Year: rheumatologist Dr. Stephen Paget of the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York.

Working tirelessly to cure arthritis and help patients better manage their conditions, Dr. Paget is leading the way toward a brighter, less "creaky" future for all of us.
