LIMBREL Anybody???
Up to Traditional Meds and Side Effects
Forgive me, I am new to CJ and cannot find Limbrel on any of the forums. I tried it ...UHHHHH, but that was me. I had a bad allergic reaction to it (serum sickness type - treated in the ER).
However, the Package insert is very encouraging. Effectiveness equivalent to Naprosyn 500 Mg BID!
It is made for "natural" substances and it categorized as a "food/drug". It requires a RX. It does not have the same GI and BP effects as NSAIDS. It inhibits Cox 1 and 2.
Any comments???
Barbara,
I did a quick search on Limbrel on webmd and this is what I was able to find. I will see what else I can find out there and if what is listed in the 2008 Drug Guide from the Arthritis foundation. I haven't received 2009's yet.

Hi Barbara,
Firstly welcome, I have found the following links that I hope provide you with the information that you are looking for: The last link is a forum that shows one very brief post on Limbrel but as with any forum, if you add to it then you may find it soon builds momentum. (Sorry, am I allowed to post the last link - I understand if it gets deleted). As we all know Creaki is the place to be for all advice, help and support (crawl crawl).

It appears that Limbrel is prescribed for OA.
