Deja vu.

Update:

Yes, I've got that feeling of being here before - let me explain.

After my initial treatment of Plaquenil for RA I was then given MTX as an additional med four years later (over a year ago).   I have been extremely fortunate not to suffer any side effects that a lot of you mention except for my WBC being quite low.   I have been on and off MTX a couple of times until the last time it was withdrawn and finally out of my system.   A couple of months ago it was re-introduced as a very low dose as a maintenence measure for the Enbrel.

Yesterday at my hospital appointment I was told to stop the MTX again as my white cell count is just not stable whilst taking it.  

Ah well, I think I'll replace the MTX with a glass of wine each Friday, as I can drink with the other meds - yippee!!!

Have a glass for me.

I have to admit I had a glass of wine on Good Friday even though I took my MTX that day. I survived!!! 

I guess one glass a year won't hurt, I hope.
