My little boy...
Up to The Remission Zone
Awwwwwwww. Is he going to college next year? DId he pick one? You must be so proud!
Its funny you wrote this. I took my 3 year old to the toy store yesterday. I made him put his purchases on the belt, and pay the lady himself, basically conduct the whole transaction while I coached. He was so grown up at only 3! I wanted to cry then as I realized he would be grown before I know it. LOL.
No, he will be a senior next year. We got a discount for booking his photo session early.
No college yet - first we have to get him through the ACTs!
The time DOES go by in a flash! When the kids were born I thought 18 years is such a long time. Then I blinked and my last one is almost out the door. Enjoy those little-one years, they'll be gone before you know it!
I think the dog had more fun than he did, if that's possible. My daughter had her senior picture taken with our older dog, so we brought the younger one or my son to pose with. She was freaked out by the busy studio at first (she's a homebody) but ended up enjoying the attention. She turned out to be quite the little diva. "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille!!" lol
Carolyn, They grow up so quickly my youngest's 21'st BDay was in April. You just need to cherish the moments now. Once they are of age and out on their own they come home to shop in your cabinets!!!!

That's a fine family tradition around here! My husband's parents couldn't afford to send him to college but his Mom was a shrewed shopper who kept numerous basement shelves stocked with every imaginable non-perishable food. He went home every few weeks to stock up.
Whenever my daughter comes home I sent her out the door with a bag or two of supplies, from toiletries to canned goods.
Carolan,
I think it is the family tradition of stock piling canned goods. Both my parents were raised during WWII and they did the samething, we could live for a year in our basement from the stockpiles of canned and dry foods. Now that Dad is gone we had to empty the majority of the basement in order for the food not to go bad.
Mum is still living off of some of those canned goods.. Unbelievable.
My Daughter still shops here...
Once a mom always a Mom...
