Hysterical Crying to Hysterical Laughing

So… I’m at the Rhummy’s office.  I was 11 days in to one of the worst flares I have ever experienced and at my breaking point.  She comes in to the exam room and I tell her that a majority of my pain is in my hips.  She reaches in to one of the drawers in the exam table and asks me to take of my pants and cover myself with the drape so she can examine them. 

She leaves the room, and I take of my pants.  I then reach for the folded paper she handed me.  My wrists were killing me and my fingers weren’t working real well so it wasn’t much of a surprise when I had trouble opening the drape. 

But I had more trouble then I expected.  For the life of me I could not open the damn thing.  So I am standing there half naked, and I can’t do something as simple as unfold a paper drape…so I start crying hysterically.  I broke down completely.  I just couldn’t take it anymore and I was surrendering.  The doctor walks in…sees me standing there in a tank top and thong and sobbing (tears and snot flowing) …she was horrified. 

Then my sobbing turned in to probably the hardest laugh I have had in years! 

Turns out she had reached in to the wrong drawer and handed me a paper pillow case…I still laugh when I think about it. 

Oh Kat, that is such a funny story!  There really is nothing like a good laugh.  I do hope your flare "unflares" and you start feeling better.  Thanks for making me laugh.

Now that is funny even beats me at the hospital unable to open the urine specimen cup!!!

I do hope the flare settles down for you.
