Up to I'm Feeling Vulnerable
hi! im new to the website, discovered it thru youtube. i wont go into my whole history, but all i will say is that i dont have a diagnosis yet-have some mysterious mixed connective tissue disorder (MCTD)that mimics RA and lupus, but is neither.... have beeen a case study in different hospitals, been to different countries, diff drs, but to no avail..
so, past few weeks been feeling really good. the pain was in control, rashes more or less gone. i was able to go to the gym regularly, didnt have problems getting up and down stairs..
however, last night i felt the sluggishness and the pain starting to drift over me and BANG... im back in it all over again
and its pretty bad...
oh well, ive said my bit, not much i can do about this pain besides grin and bear it...
looking forward to meeting all of u and sorry that thtis is my first comment here...

Rachel, Welcome to Creaky. There are a few folks here that have different AutoImmune diseases and this site is not just for RA folks. There are over 100 different Autoimmune diseases and they are labeled under Arthritis's so welcome and please never hesitate to share.
We have seen and heard many a story of misdiagnosis, to those of us that have had the disease for many a years or even as recently as a month ago.
You wont' find a better support group than the group of folks I have met on this site.
Tess
thank u
just gets rather frustrating just not knowing - although not sure how knowing will help....
took meds and went to gym becauase had to prove to myself that i can still do everything!! not sure it was the best idea, but i managed...
happy new year to u all
xx
Rachel,
Going to the gym is still a great idea just take it easy and don't over do it. Listen to your body when it is telling you not to push it too far.
Wishing you well.
Tess
Hi Rachel,
Welcome aboard! We are all here for each other. Just wondering since you like exercising if you've tried water exercise? Our YMCA has several classes, including one that is geared toward "creaky folks". I was surprised to see my heart rate was still elevated enough in water classes to get a good workout!
Hang in there, my friend,
Carol T
