Seth's foot is injected with some cortisone.
The foot saga continues. As I continue to try everything possible to avoid surgery, we opted for a high tech, ultrasound-guided series of cortisone injections. The hope is that the sesamoid joint, which is totally rotted out, can heal itself without needing to be replaced.
It wasn’t a huge deal, except for the cost (roughly the same price as a trip to Hawaii — in first class), so for fun, I videotaped it: http://youtu.be/z9hTcWjjOlg (warning: my humor is bad. And when it really started to hurt, so was my language). What he’s doing is using the ultrasound to guide the injections into the precise location of the sesamoid joint.
After a week now I’m starting to feel a slight improvement, which is good, but still haven’t gotten my “money’s worth”. I sure hope it gets better soon.
