Softball season is officially upon us.
Yesterday was our first practice for my softball team, and it served as a major reminder that I am only human, I have arthritis, and I can't be active outdoors without feeling the major repercussions the following day. In other words, I can barely move today because I swung a bat and threw a ball yesterday. The only thing is, I am really glad I did, and I'm happy to pay the consequences, because it turns out, I can play a decent game of softball! It's basically baseball but with a much slower pace, a larger ball and more lenient rules. Which totally works for me.
I think I should buy stock in tissue companies since I am going through a box every two days
The one thing that comes as a surprise this spring is just how bad my allergies are. I can't stop sneezing! I have been traveling a lot, and I returned to New York this weekend to a city in full bloom. I think I should buy stock in tissue companies since I am going through a box every two days -- where the mucus comes from I have no idea, but there is definitely a lot of it. And yes, I just said I have a lot of boogers ... but really out of amazement that there is so much of it and that it never runs out!
Which means I guess it’s the time of year to begin "shooting up" the allergy medicine and trying to keep this misery at bay.
